Babcock Road Cleanup

This event is a UTSA tradition, now in its 17th year. Students, faculty, and staff take to the streets and pick up trash on Babcock Road between 1604 and UTSA Blvd., and on UTSA Blvd. from Babcock Road to I-10. Transportation and materials provided! Join us at the Convocation Center to check in between 10:00am - 2:00pm on September 24, 2010.  The student organization with the most participants will be presented with an award. Be a part of the tradition!

OXFAM Hunger Banquet

The OXFAM Hunger Banquet is an experiential dinner, where participants eat a meal based on the class/status that they draw on their way in the door. Participants have the opportunity to learn about global hunger issues, and participate in group discussion about the causes and realities of hunger. Beach Cleanup

Once a year, VOICES takes a day trip to Corpus Christi National Park where we pick up trash along the beach for half a day, and have a social with games, a cookout, and sun for the rest of the day.

Campus Cleanup

The UTSA Campus Cleanup brings students together in an effort to beautify campus before Homecoming each February. Last year, 100 students picked up trash in assigned areas of campus, and this year we want to see this program grow!

Alternative Spring Break

The Alternative Spring Break is a chance to give back during your break. Participants consistently say it is one of the best experiences of their lives! Past trips include Habitat for Humanity in Corpus Christi, Big Bend National Park, New Orleans Rebuilding, Orphanages in Piedras Negras, Mexico, and more! The 2011 trips are still to be determined.

United to Serve

UTSA's annual day of service is United to Serve. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends participate in one of many volunteer opportunities one Saturday each April. Individuals and groups can sign up to participate online beginning in early March. More information will be posted in March, or you can contact jennifer.lilly@utsa.edu for more information. The next United to Serve will be in April 2011.
