Special Project: Pen Tear Down: San Antonio Rodeo

Feb. 23rd  5:30 pm - 11:00 pm

This project will be in the MAC center in the Swine Barn where we will be supporting the staff that organize the pens for the animals and putting them together.


Schwartz Farm

Feb. 19th  9:00 pm - 1:00 pm

People will be helping out around the farm. Some activities may include feeding and interacting with animals. Lunch will be provided.


Project Leader Duties!!
Day Before Project

1) Pick up your packet in the VOICES Office
2) Before you leave the office, make sure there is enough drivers for the project
3) If there are not enough drivers, call VP Programs
4) First start calling all of the drivers to make sure they all can make it, then call the rest of the volunteers
5) Please leave a message if there is no answer
6) If there is no answer and there is no voicemail box, call back a second time
7) Only after you have called, you can send a text message
8) Students can cancel at this time and not receive negative points

Day of Project

1) Arrive at the meeting site at least 10 minutes before the official meeting time

  1. 2) As students show up, have then SIGN IN
  2. 3) Be sure that each participant receives, signs and turns in the “Release and Indemnification Agreement” form
  3. 4) If students that signed up DO NOT show up; draw a line through their name and write "NO SHOW" next to it.
  4. 5) Give each driver a copy of the map and directions to the project location
  5. 5) Place participants with drivers (make sure to write down who the drivers are)
  6. 6) At 15 minutes after meeting time you may depart to the project location

At the Project Location:
1) Once at the location check in with the contact person in charge of the location
2) Follow any and all instructions you are given and relay them to the participants
3) TAKE PICTURES and email them [email protected] or @utsavoices on social media
4) Once the project is complete notify the person in charge of the location that the group has completed the task
5) Have students fill out reflection cards

After the Project:

Please turn in your packet to the office within 2 business days of the project. It should include sign up sheets, release forms, and extra materials
